What is Living Waters?
The program is an in-depth healing, teaching and discipleship series with the goal of laying a foundation for relational wholeness. The basic premise of Living Waters is that Jesus is committed to enabling us to love. When we are confused or broken in our sexual and relational identities, we are bound in our capacity to love others according to the will of Christ. We thus need His grace and restoration to heal our sexuality. Living Waters aims to minister that healing.

Who can attend?
The program is relevant for those struggling with relational or sexual issues, such as sexual addiction, abuse, unhealthy relationships, marital problems, same-sex feelings, and emotional dependencies. Anyone with an identified relational or sexual problem is eligible to apply for Living Waters. Christ’s capacity to touch and restore us at deep levels of brokenness and shame applies to all of us, regardless of the exact type of problem.

Is the program right for me?
The following requirements can only be assessed by you. Consider whether or not they describe your own readiness of heart.
1. A desire to deepen your relationship with Christ.
2. A desire to allow Christ to reveal His intentions for your sexuality.
3. A willingness to face the sinfulness of your present state and the painful realities that led you there.
4. A willingness to be open and honest with others about your relational feelings and practices, as well as areas of identity and emotional immaturity.
5. A desire to receive the healing ministry of the Holy Spirit in the deep areas of your sexuality.
6. A desire and willingness to walk free from sexual & relational brokenness, bondage, and find loving relationships within the body of Christ.

Additional Information

CROSSCURRENT

A Christ-centered discipleship group for those seeking truth and grace on their relationships and sexuality.

What is CrossCurrent?

CrossCurrent can help one to begin to identify his or her true need. It also challenges one to examine their relationships through the hope found in Jesus. Healing has occurred for many through identification of needs and healing prayer, as well as through choosing to draw near to the Lord and to others in the body of Christ.  It is an ideal group for anyone who desires to pursue healing for his or her relational and sexual brokenness.  CrossCurrent provides a safe, confidential environment for men and women to share honestly in a small group setting.

How is CrossCurrent Presented?

CrossCurrent is a nine lesson program taught in a closed group format.  The leaders have been trained and a confidentiality policy is in place to help ensure trust and safety in the group. Each meeting includes:

WORSHIP: We focus our attention and praise on God rather than on our problems

THE WORD: CrossCurrent teachings combine biblical truths and psychological insights that help us to know God and ourselves better.

THE WORKS OF JESUS:  Through healing prayer in large and small group settings, we invite the Holy Spirit to heal our various wounds.  We bring our sins, and those committed against us, to the Lord who is faithful to set us free.

What Will I Learn?

LISTENING TO GOD:  In the building of relationship, we must get to know one another.  In our relationship with Christ, He is the Good Shepherd who says, "I know My sheep and My sheep know Me" My sheep listen to My voice, I know them and they follow me"" John 10:14, 27

UNFAILING LOVE:  The greatest need for the human heart is the need for love -to be loved, and to be free to love others.  In order to be whole human beings, we must be able to receive and release love.

GETTING REAL  :  JESUS AND THE REAL SELF:  Who am I? It's as if we are looking in a series of mirrors that reflect back glimpses of self but not the whole picture.  The whole picture requires relationship with the master designer Himself.

THE CROSS AND THE FALSE SELF - GETTING SAVED:  It means crying out for the Savior because we've finally realized we can't save ourselves.  Saved from what?  The power of our separateness from love : the love of God and others.

GETTING CLEAN : THE CROSS AND CONFESSION:  To be clean means talking about those things we've done in the past or that we're still doing in the present that deaden the image of God in us and others.

GETTING HEALED : HOW JESUS ON THE CROSS BEARS OUR WOUNDS: Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly.  So what inhibits us from knowing freedom?  Lies we believe about ourselves, past experiences of rejection" He can bear it all.

GETTING HEALED : BRINGING OUR WOUNDS TO THE CROSS:  "Surely He has bourn our grief and carried our sorrows"" Isaiah 53:4.   Christ alone can carry the weight of our pain.  He died not only for our sins, but those committed against us.

GETTING HEALED : FORGIVING OTHERS:  Forgiveness is a significant step in the healing process.  As we forgive our captors, it releases our hearts to be healed from its wounds.  Forgiveness is an essential step to healthy relationships.

BECOMING SECURE IN THE FATHER'S LOVE:   We behold Jesus Christ's act of love on the cross, and allow its power to change our hearts.  "This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins"   1 John 4:10

LOVING OTHERS:  Secure in the Father's love, we can love others.  God enables us to love others in a way that is different than the world.  "Friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another""   1 John 4:11

BEYOND BROKENNESS:  For some of us, the prospect seems incredible.  We are more aware of what's wrong rather than what's right about ourselves.  So how do we live more true to our true identity rooted in Christ
